Silver Clay Jewellery for Beginners

£105.00

Silver metal clay is an amazing material! Made from recycled silver, mixed with organic binders and moisture, it can be textured, shaped, cut and moulded like clay, but, when it's fired, it reverts to become 99.9% fine silver again. This means that you don't need any prior jewellery making or silversmithing skills to enjoy this media and make beautiful, fine silver jewellery pieces!

This is a friendly, relaxed and supportive workshop. With a strong emphasis on developing skills and learning good practice, you will spend a day making fine silver jewellery. You'll discover all you need to know to continue with the craft at home without the need for a kiln.

With regular demonstrations of technique, students will learn how to prepare their designs, making and refining 3 - 4 pieces before firing and polishing them to take home. Choose to create pendants, charms and/or earrings from your own ideas.
