Silver and Stone

£165.00

For extra added sparkle to your silver clay jewellery, add some stones!

This full-on day will cover two styles of stone setting - claw (using a ready made setting) and bezel style which you will make using silver clay. You will incorporate one of each type to make a pendant and a ring. The stone setting featured on each item will be chosen by you, as you design each piece, and there will be a range of white and coloured cubic zirconia (lab grown stones) to choose from.

This course is ideal as a progression from a taster/beginners’ workshop as you’ll learn how to measure and size your ring correctly, allowing for clay shrinkage; how to prepare the mandrel to take your clay and how to make a seamless ring shank whilst incorporating your stone.

Alongside this project, you’ll also make a pendant which could feature a pretty texture or unusual shape in addition to your inclusion - the choice is yours!

Your ring will be kiln fired for maximum strength and you’ll torch fire your pendant, before each are polished, ready to wear home.

Maximum 3 spaces.
