Sprig Ginger Shawl Pin
Sprig Ginger Shawl Pin features an intricate pastel floral style pattern which has been taken from one of my original gelli prints. Shades of pink, turquoise, teal and coppery brown blend in an abstract botanical design, which is dotted with white accents. The shawl pin and disc has a smooth matte finish and the pin can be worn either side up.
The back of this shawl pin disc is a lightly textured, gingery brown and the disc is stamped with my makers mark.
My polymer clay shawl pins are ideal for fastening a woolly wrap, securing a waterfall cardigan, pinning a knitted scarf in place or embellishing a beanie. Suitable for any garment with a loose knit or weave, they can also be worn as a piece of contemporary jewellery. Even a silk scarf can be pushed through the disc and the pin passed behind it. Due to the diameter of the bamboo, I don’t advise using them with a fine machine knit or woven fabric.
Dimensions: Large disc: 57 mm diameter (2 & 1/4 inches) and 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick.
Small double sided disc at top of pin: 22 mm (7/8 inch) diameter and 5 mm (3/16 inch) thick.
Bamboo pin (excluding decorative disc): 78 mm long (3 & 1/8 inch) and 2.5 mm (1/8 inch) wide
