Olive Green Shawl Pin
Olive Green Shawl Pin has a pretty, low relief pattern of curlicues, feathers, swirls and plumes on the front of the disc, and both sides of the pin-head which can be worn with either side uppermost. The back of the disc has a subtle speckled texture and is stamped with my maker’s mark.
Part of my Colour Collection, this shawl pin is available in a choice of 24 beautiful shades. As each one is cut by hand, the pattern placement will vary slightly from pin to pin. Just choose the colour you prefer from the drop down menu or, if you would like me to make you a pin in a bespoke colour, please get in touch.
My polymer clay shawl pins are ideal for fastening a woolly wrap, securing a waterfall cardigan, pinning a knitted scarf in place or embellishing a beanie. Suitable for any garment with a loose knit or weave, they can also be worn as a piece of contemporary jewellery. Even a silk scarf can be pushed through the disc and the pin passed behind it. Due to the diameter of the bamboo, I don’t advise using them with a fine machine knit or woven fabric.
Dimensions: Large disc: 56 mm diameter (2 & 1/4 inches) and 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick.
Small double sided disc at top of pin: 22 mm (15/16 inch) diameter and 7 mm (1/4 inch) thick.
Bamboo pin (excluding decorative disc): 75 - 80 mm long (3 - 3 1/4 inches) and 2.5 mm (1/8 inch) wide.
